Tell us a little about you!
I grew up on a farm along Hwy #92 between Ashton & Farwell, Nebraska – graduated from Loup City High School in 1978 - came to Lincoln to further my education at Lincoln School of Commerce. I have lived in and near Bennet since getting married in 1985 – hired to work for the bank in Sept. 1996, under the name of Farmers State Bank, which changed to Farmers State Bank of Nebraska, then to Heartland Community Bank, all with the same owners, then the owners sold to First Nebraska Bank in Aug. 2012 and here we are, going into 2025. I love the small town feel where you really get to know the people and all our new small business owners. I have two boys, Tyson & Cory, which are married – I have six grandchildren - their families live here in Bennet, which is just the best thing ever. I love to travel anywhere, as that is not something I did growing up or while raising our own boys.
What is your current role at First Nebraska Bank?
I currently assist every customer that walks through our doors or over the phone, here in Bennet, with most of their needs – if I don’t know something, I will find someone who can!
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Getting to know the new customers and seeing regular customers each day and greeting them by name.

If you weren’t in this career, what could you see yourself doing?
I would of loved to have been a private investigator, specifically drugs, as that’s a big problem in today’s world.
What song are you most likely jamming out to on a Friday afternoon?
Just whatever is on my country radio station – I know that sounds boring, I just don’t have a playlist.
