Tell us a little about you!
I grew up in Southeast Iowa and went to college at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math. I have 4 children that I was lucky enough to get to stay home with during their younger years. I have been with the bank for 17 years. I make greeting cards for friends and family: the best craft for me ever, as I make them with a person in mind just to make that person smile or know I care. I also quilt, love doing puzzles, and am very active in my church family. All 4 of my children are married, and I have 8 grandchildren: 4 boys and 4 girls. My weekends find me traveling because I enjoy spending time with them and going to as many of their events as possible!
What is your current role at First Nebraska Bank?
I am a consumer loan officer at the Nebraska City location and oversee the First Nebraska Bank “Thank You” credit card program.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Everyday at the bank brings more opportunities to explore. I love the puzzle of figuring out how to best help the customer with different situations.
What do you think sets First Nebraska Bank apart from other financial institutions?
We know and care about our customers here. We take the time to get to know them and allow them to know us. We are busy in our communities, where we are on committees working side by side with our customers and others.
If you weren’t in this career, what could you see yourself doing?
I love helping people so I am right where I should be here at First Nebraska Bank. I love spending time with family so that is where I am as much as possible.
What song are you most likely jamming out to on a Friday afternoon?
With raising 4 children, numerous animals and friends, I really enjoy the quiet, so don’t have music on at home. In the car I listen to the oldies (70’s or 80’s).
