Tell us a little about you!
I grew up in Valley, NE and graduated from DC West High School. I went to cosmetology school and became a licensed instructor after high school. After 10 years in that field, I switched career paths and joined First Nebraska Bank at the beginning of 2020. I started as a Universal Banker and have jumped into many different roles over the last four years. My husband and I have four very active girls, and we enjoy chasing them all around the state and cheering them on in their various sports and activities. I enjoy reading psychological thrillers and watching true-crime documentaries. I am fueled by coffee and caffeine and love just spending time with my family.
What is your current role at First Nebraska Bank?
Consumer and Mortgage Lender.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite thing about my job is the relationships built with my coworkers and our customers. I love the people I work with and the customers I get to work for. It brings me great joy to be able to help them with so many different aspects of banking and how that directly correlates with their everyday lives.
What do you think sets First Nebraska Bank apart from other financial institutions?
I think that the relationships we have with our customers along with the technology we use is what sets First Nebraska Bank apart. We know our customers well and are able to provide the best service(s) for them based on their needs. We are able to help and reach our customers in so many different ways using the technology we offer and with the knowledge we have from building those relationships.
If you weren’t in this career, what could you see yourself doing?
If I wasn’t in banking, I would still have a career in a field where I am able to help others and connect with people. I don’t know exactly what that would be, but possibly some sort of teacher, coach, or assistant.
