Tell us a little about you!
I grew up in Plainview, NE where I graduated from Plainview High School in 2012. From there, I went down to Lincoln to go to college at UNL and received my Bachelor’s in Finance in 2016. I started my banking career out down in Lincoln as a Credit Analyst for a community bank called First State Bank Nebraska, where I underwrote loans for other Loan Officers and really got to understand the financial aspect of banking. After a few years of that, I evolved into becoming a Commercial/Ag Loan Officer in 2020. I spent 7 years with First State Bank Nebraska and really value my time there, especially since it is where I met my wife, Natalie. We have been married for a little over a year and are now proud, expecting parents with a due date in December 2025.
Natalie and I decided to make the move to Norfolk, NE in May 2025 to get a little closer to family. Natalie is from Omaha and I’m from Plainview, so Norfolk felt like a good fit and location for us to raise a family in. I was hired by First Nebraska Bank in May 2025 as a Commercial/Ag Loan Officer and am very excited to see what we can accomplish here together.
Outside of work, I enjoy sports (specifically football, basketball, and golf), spending time with my wife and our 2 Golden Retrievers (Bud & Ellie), and basically any activity outdoors. Natalie and I go on a lot of walks and if we’re lucky, we enjoy getting over to Colorado to see what hike we can cross off of our list. We also enjoy going to church at Our Savior Lutheran Church and listening to a good message by Pastor Lee in Norfolk. Probably my biggest obsession though is Husker football. It is a sick obsession, and the outcome of a game will absolutely determine my weekend mood in the Fall. I love it. GO BIG RED.
What is your current role at First Nebraska Bank?
I am employed as a Commercial/Ag Loan Officer and am serving the Norfolk/Stanton communities.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love meeting new people and creating long-lasting relationships. I enjoy interacting with genuine, driven people that take calculated risks to accomplish their dreams. I love having a helping hand in a successful business venture.
What do you think sets First Nebraska Bank apart from other financial institutions?
We are heavily involved in our local communities. Whether it’s doing a fun run/charity race, throwing out candy in the local parade, or sponsoring a local business at an event – we are proud to be a constant support that people can count on.
If you weren’t in this career, what could you see yourself doing?
I am not entirely sure. I think I might enjoy teaching a business class in high school. I also have always wanted to be a coach so probably something in that area.
What song are you most likely jamming out to on a Friday afternoon?
Excellent question. I’m a big country music fan and enjoy all eras. But I’d most likely be listening to something by Morgan Wallen or Eric Church.
